Four Courts 100 commemorations

The Decade of Centenary Commemorations Committee will mark the historic events of 1922 in a programme of events this year.

Centenary commemorations

The commemorates will discuss the civil war occupation and burning of the Four Courts in 1922, life during this era of Irish history, and live historical debates. Events include:

  • a lecture series beginning on Thursday 28 April 2022, streamed online with ,
  • a photographic exhibition with ,
  • a virtual reconstruction of the Public Record Office of Ireland, which was destroyed in the 1922 fighting, and
  • a nationwide art competition.
