Online booking services have now been extended to the Supreme Court and Cork Court (Washington Street) offices.

About the project

The new appointment booking service allows practitioners and other courts users to make an appointment to visit a particular office through the .

Following a pilot project in three offices (Central Office of the High Court, Dublin District Court Family Law Office, Limerick Court Office), the facility is being extended more widely. The online booking service went live on 1 February 2023, for the Supreme Court Office and the Cork Court Office (Washington Street).

What has changed - Supreme Court Office

From 1 February 2023, an appointment can be scheduled to visit the Supreme Court office to file:

  • Applications for Leave to Appeal,

  • Respondents Notices,

  • Application for Leave Booklets,

  • Notices of Intention to Proceed,

  • Submissions,

  • Case Management Booklet,

  • Appeal Booklets, and

  • Papers in respect of Commissioner, Notary Public, and Authentication Applications.

For urgent matters, where it is not possible to book online, users are asked to email supremecourt@courts.ie to make an appointment.

What has Changed - Cork Court Office (Washington Street)

From 1 February 2023, an appointment can be scheduled to visit the Cork Court Office (Washington Street) for:

  • Stamping (Civil),

  • Guardianship of Children,

  • Maintenance of Spouses and Children,

  • Arrears of Maintenance Applications,

  • Matters relating to Passport Applications,

  • Pension Adjustment Orders,

  • Queries regarding issuing of Judicial Separation/Divorce Proceedings, and

  • Family Law Motions.

For urgent matters, such as Domestic Violence, an appointment will not be required - this will continue to be a walk-in service.
