Environment Ireland Conference – 17/18 January 2022
This event will feature a range of focussed sessions highlighting the pressing issues facing the environment in Ireland and further afield, such as tackling the biodiversity and climate emergencies, the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development (Amendment) bill 2021 and the European Green Deal.
Climate Bar Symposium: Towards a Model Environmental Law – 21 January 2022
The Climate Bar Association was established in 2019 and it is a specialist association of the Bar of Ireland which aims to act at the forefront of environmental justice and law in Ireland and to become a thought leader of climate law expertise in Ireland. This is their inaugural event and the symposium is open to all to attend.
Understanding Race Inclusion in the Legal Profession – 26 January 2022
Join panellists in a discussion about the importance of building a more inclusive culture around race, ethnicity and cultural background. Topics covered include the importance of understanding inclusive language and developing evidence-formed strategy and policy. Also discussed are the Bar Council of England & Wales' anti-racism initiatives, including a recent landmark investigation and report on race at the Bar. This panel discussion will be of interest to barristers, solicitors, in house counsel, law students and other legal professionals.
