Mayo Association Dublin is hosting a virtual networking and mentoring event for Mayo people based or hoping to be based in Dublin. The event will take place online on 15 February 2022. Breaking the Silence – 22 February 2022
On Tuesday 22 February at 10am, Rape Crisis Network Ireland will launch ‘Breaking the Silence: Terminology guidelines for Data Collection on Sexual Violence Against Children’ Now more than ever, it is well understood that violence against children includes physical, psychological, sexual and emotional violence and it has become increasingly important that the language to describe it captures and accurately records its breadth and nuance. However, coming to a common agreement on terms for each form of sexual violence is challenging and defining the terminology for all forms of sexual violence against children even more so.
