And that’s a wrap!

Last week, the Law Society celebrated Mental Health and Wellbeing Week to mark World Mental Health Day (10 October). It was a jam-packed week dedicated to cracking open conversations around mental health, with the aim of breaking down stigmatising narratives attached to mental illness.

If you missed some or all the events, why not take a moment this week to participate in some or all of the activities?

Here鈥檚 a quick round-up of events:

  • Tune into this with Trish Howard, psychotherapist in private practice and with the Law School, where she shares her thoughts on Psychological Safety.
  • Watch this with Odhran Mc Carthy (Principal Clinical Psychologist with Social Anxiety Ireland) where he talks to Julie Breen about social anxiety, what it is, and how it might manifest for some of us as we transition back into the workplace.
  • Take a break with Paul Hughes, psychotherapist in private practice and with the Law School, and watch this where helps us understand addiction better.
  • Listen back on this with Keelin Deasy, psychotherapist in private practice and with the Law School, to hear her talk about 鈥淪econdary Traumatic Stress鈥, clarify what the signs and symptoms of it are, and share ideas about how solicitors can heal from it.

You can find all of these activities, and much more, on the Law Society Professional Wellbeing Hub.
