Minister for Justice Helen McEntee will implement a departmental 鈥榞oals and values鈥 strategy shake-up by year-end.
A public consultation call has been issued and stakeholders requested to submit their ideas on reform and improved public service across the justice sector.
The plan will prioritise:
Minister McEntee commented: 鈥淚 will lead a programme of change and reform across the justice sector, to make our communities safer by reducing re-offending and harm.
鈥淚 want to hear from people and organisations across the country.
鈥淎nd after we publish our plan, regular implementation reports and listening to people through ongoing consultation will be key parts of the process,鈥 she said.
The strategic plan will also outline how the Department of Justice will work across Government to drive reform and further its core vision of 鈥榓 safe, fair and inclusive鈥 Ireland.
