Keavy Ryan to be next A&L Goodbody chair

A&L Goodbody LLP (ALG) has appointed Keavy Ryan as chair of the firm’s partnership.

She will succeed ALG's current chair Séamus Ó Cróinín on 1 October, when his three-year term ends.

Ó Cróinín will continue as a senior partner in the firm's finance department, specialising in aviation and other forms of finance.

Ryan is an experienced partner in ALG’s corporate department, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, governance, and equity incentives and benefits.

Diversity advocate

The firm says that she will continue to work with her existing clients, alongside her role as chair.

ALG managing partner David Widger described Ryan as “one of our leading corporate partners”, who had forged strong relationships with clients and other law firms, particularly internationally.

“Keavy is also a keen advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion, as a mentor and support for colleagues across the firm,” he added.

Widger also praised the outgoing chair, saying that he had played a key leadership role in helping to develop and grow the business.
