Fieldfisher Ireland LLP has appointed Dermot McEvoy as a partner in its litigation and dispute-resolution practice in Dublin.
McEvoy, who joins the firm from Eversheds Sutherland, brings over 30 years of experience in construction and infrastructure disputes, commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
Fieldfisher says that his arrival marks a strategic expansion of its capabilities in high-value, complex disputes across Ireland and Britain.
McEvoy will work closely with Fieldfisher’s Irish litigation and dispute-resolution team, led by Killian O’Reilly, and collaborate with its construction and projects team in Britain.
The new partner is a CEDR-accredited and practising mediator. Fieldfisher says that his ADR service extends beyond mediation to include adjudication, conciliation, expert determination.
Fieldfisher Ireland managing partner JP McDowell describes McEvoy as “a highly respected figure in the Irish disputes market”.
“His expertise in construction litigation and ADR significantly enhances our offering and supports our continued growth in Ireland,” he adds.
