Economics of dispute resolution for discussion

The Law Society Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee will host a panel discussion at Blackhall Place, Dublin 7, on 20 October, as a prelude to .

The topic is ‘The Direction of Travel in Arbitration/Mediation/Litigation and the Economics of Dispute Resolution’.

Limited places are available for this event so book early to avoid disappointment.

Aim

The event will feature a detailed analysis of the direction of travel in contemporary dispute resolution and a distinguished panel of Irish and international experts who will discuss innovation and emerging trends shaping practice and strategy in arbitration, mediation, and litigation. 

This will include an analysis of how clients and lawyers tend to make judgements, decisions and trade-offs in dispute resolution and whether alternative methods of dispute resolution offer a more attractive allocation of time/money, response to risk, preservation of opportunity and allocation of scarce court resources.
