Donegal Courthouse ‘no longer safe for public’

All court sittings scheduled for Donegal Courthouse are to take place in Ballyshannon Courthouse from 1 October.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) has told the Courts Service that the Donegal venue is no longer safe for public use due to health-and-safety concerns.

According to the courts body, the OPW has organised a full building-condition survey to be carried out.

The Courts Service says that it will consider its next steps after receiving the full report on the survey.

It has apologised for the disruption caused to court users.
