MHC initiative raises €45,000 for Focus Ireland

An initiative organised at law firm Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) has raised €45,000 for homeless charity Focus Ireland.

The 35 MHC participants in this year’s 'Shine A Light' campaign held a sleep-out at the rear of the firm’s Dublin offices earlier this month.

The money raised this year placed the firm in the top three corporate fund-raisers across the country for the Focus Ireland campaign.

This was the second year of the MHC initiative, organised and run by senior associate Alan Power, after last year’s event raised €37,000.

was to highlight on child homelessness, raising awareness and funds to support the charity’s continuing work in the area.

Representatives from the charity joined the MHC team on the night to present on their latest campaign ‘No Child Without a Home’.

“It’s such a small ask for us, to spend one night out of our comfortable homes, yet the experience and the impact are incredibly powerful,” said Power.

“I am proud of the MHC team; the teamwork, energy and commitment shown by everyone makes a real difference in raising awareness and vital funds,” he concluded.
