This year’s annual conference of the Law Society’s EU and International Affairs Committee is to focus on how artificial intelligence (AI) is regulated in the EU.

The event, organised in collaboration with Law Society Professional Training, will take place on Monday 10 November (5.30pm to 7pm) in the Green Hall lecture theatre in Blackhall Place.

Participants will earn 1.5 general CPD hours by group study, and the event is open for registration.

Speakers

The aim of the seminar is to provide practitioners with an overview of recent and ongoing developments in the areas of EU law and international affairs from a practical perspective, with a particular focus on the regulation of AI within the EU.

Committee chair Richard Kelly (partner, Ogier LLP) will chair the conference.

The speakers include:

  • Dr Labhaoise Ní Fhaoláin (UCD, solicitor and PhD Researcher in AI law and regulation),
  • Donna O’Leary (AI consultant, DOL Consultancy).
