Law Society Library’s latest subject guide

The Law Society’s Library and Information Service has added a new guide on legal research and writing skills to its Subject Guide series.

brings together practical resources for trainee solicitors, as well as for practising solicitors looking to brush up on their legal-research skills.

It includes information on books covering legal research and writing, journal sources, primary sources of Irish law – including case law and legislation – and pointers to other useful EU and British resources.

More guides available

There are also links to open-access sources for legislation and case law, as well as a citation index for Irish and British case law.

There are 11 more Subject Guides – including AI and data protection – available through the Law Society website.

The library says that it welcomes any queries about this topic or library access.
