Judge Beti Hohler of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is to deliver the keynote address at Irish Rule of Law International’s Belfast event on 13 October.
In her address, entitled ‘The rule of law: our compass in an uncertain world?’, Judge Hohler will explore where the rule of law now stands at a time of global uncertainty.
Judge Hohler serves in the ICC’s pre-trial and trial divisions and brings decades of experience from international and internationalised criminal courts.
Her career has spanned the ICC, the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, and litigation practice in Slovenia.
Alongside her address, two expert panels will examine the rule of law from diverse perspectives.
The event takes place at Inn of Court, Royal Courts of Justice, Belfast and runs from 3.45pm to 7pm. It is free but .
