German-Irish Lawyers and Business Association event

The German-Irish Lawyers and Business Association (GILBA) will hold its 2025 conference in Munich on Saturday, 25 October.

The themes are ‘Challenges of IP law in the age of AI’ and ‘Expert witnesses’.

Founded in Dublin in 1988, the German-Irish Lawyers and Business Association (GILBA) has served as a dynamic forum for fostering legal and business relations between Ireland and Germany.

This is the first time in GILBA’s history that its annual conference will take place in Bavaria’s capital, Munich, which is home to one of the biggest Irish communities in Germany.

Authorship

AI presents IP law with several new challenges and its ability to create novel content raises questions about authorship and ownership.

These questions will be covered in a panel discussion at the event, as well as the latest developments in the field of expert witnesses.

GILBA is led by lawyer Hillka Becker (small picture).
