Annual employment-law update in November

Law Society Professional Training will host an online employment-law update for solicitors next month.

The annual conference, designed in collaboration with the Law Society’s Employment and Equality Law Committee, will take place on Wednesday 5 November (2pm to 5.30pm).

The live Zoom webinar earns 3.5 CPD hours by e-learning for attendees.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘employment law for all practitioners’.

The event will aim to provide general practitioners with information on key areas of employment law so that they feel better equipped to engage in work in the area.

Recent case law

Topics and Issues to be covered include:

  • Why employment law is for everyone: insights and perspectives on employment-law practice and opportunities,
  • How to upskill on key employment-law workstreams: a panel discussion covering dismissals, redundancy, discrimination, work-related stress, and settlement agreements, and
  • Update on recent key employment case law and its practical implications.

The chair of the Employment and Equality Law Committee Siobhra Rush (partner, Lewis Silkin) will chair the conference.
