2025 MOOC to provide insights on AI impact
The theme of the Law Society’s free MOOC this year will be artificial intelligence (AI).
MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are free, open to all, and are part of the Law Society’s public legal-education initiative.
Offered by the Diploma Centre, they have attracted over 30,000 participants from 88 countries since they first started in 2014.
This year’s course, which starts on 10 June, will provide participants with an insight into the rapidly developing area of AI and its implications across all sectors.
Industry experts
The course runs for five weeks, and includes contributions from leading lawyers and industry experts, as well as short video interviews and presentations, quizzes, and other online activities.
Seven CPD hours are available from participation in the course.
Confirmed speakers include:
- David Kerrigan (author and International keynote speaker on emerging technologies),
- Dr Barry Scannell (partner, William Fry),
- Donna O’Leary (AI consultant),
- Stephen Dowling SC (founder of TrialView),
- Chris Murnane (legal solutions director, Johnson Hana),
- Labhaoise Ní Fhaoláin (PhD researcher in AI, law and governance, UCD),
- Robyn Chatwood (partner, Dentons), and
- Emerald de Leeuw-Goggin (global head of AI governance and privacy, Logitech).
