Ann Lalor joins Bank of Ireland as general counsel

Lalor joins Bank of Ireland from Pinsent Masons, where she is currently partner and head of office (Dublin).

In her role at Pinsent Masons, she has advised a range of Irish and international banks and financial institutions, as well as mezzanine lenders, private funders, corporate borrowers, and investment vehicles in bilateral and syndicated banking transactions.

Range of sectors

Lalor has also worked across a range of other sectors – including property and construction, transport and logistics, natural resources, and energy.

Prior to her current role, she held partner roles with Whitney Moore and Addleshaw Goddard (formerly Eugene F Collins).

Billy O’Connell (chief strategy officer, Bank of Ireland) said: “Ann brings exceptional experience to the role, with a wealth of knowledge of the banking and financial landscape. This will be invaluable to the group as we launch a new strategy in 2026.”
