The High Court has published a draft practice direction on the list for the court’s new planning-and-environmental division.
The draft direction, from President of the High Court Mr Justice David Barniville, sets out the categories of cases that will fall under the list.
“The purpose of the list is to provide as efficient a processing as is consistent with justice of such planning and environmental cases, and related cases as specified ..., as are assigned or admitted to the list,” states.
It also details how the list will operate, and what the court requests and expects from parties and practitioners.
The Courts Service says that comments and observations are welcome from stakeholders and all interested parties.
Any comments or observations should be sent to cpsid@courts.ie no later than Tuesday 7 November.
The Government approved the dedicated planning-and-environment division, with specialist judges, last year.
The court will operate in a similar manner to the Commercial Court.
