Caoilfhionn Gallagher KC is adjunct professor at UCD
Caoilfhionn Gallagher KC will be an adjunct full professor in UCD Sutherland School of Law from September 2023.
UCD law graduate Gallagher is a prominent human-rights lawyer at Doughty Street Chambers in London, with an interest in public law, media law, inquests, community care and prison law
Gallagher attended the King’s Inns and the University of Cambridge.
Campaigner
She acts for Jimmy Lai, a journalist and pro-democracy campaigner imprisoned in Hong Kong.
In February, Gallagher was named as Ireland’s special rapporteur on child protection.
Doughty Street Chambers said that Gallagher would continue her practice alongside her commitments at UCD.
