Further Extension of Compulsory Registration

As of 1 January 2010, compulsory registration will be extended by virtue of SI 176/2009 to counties Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Leitrim, Limerick, Mayo, Monaghan, North Tipperary, Offaly, South Tipperary and Waterford, and to the cities of Galway, Limerick and Waterford.
This means that registration will then be compulsory in all but two counties, Dublin and Cork.
